| Redware Pottery is produced by Kate Morreale and has been produced at Golden Egg Farm for the past thirty years. The work is original, slip decorated, hand carved and molded, and fired in an electric kiln. Clay is native to Massachusetts and only a non-lead clear glaze is used in the last firing. All colored are created with colored clays and engobes. It is fired to 2000 degrees and therefore safe in a modern kitchen and chip resistant. It is sold at farmers markets in BArre, Ma., and Arlington, Ma. only. Themes for the pottery are scenes found around the farm. I specialize in chickens as an art form and as show birds and farm animals. Here are a few examples of tiles and awards for poultry shows in New England . |
